SOCIAL JUSTICE
Social Justice is a core value at Charlene's Pantry. in 2025 and 2026, we have proudly donated approximately 7 tonnes of rice over a 12-month period to underprivileged families in Hong Kong.
PARTNERING WITH ST JAMES SETTLEMENT
St James Settlement has been a long-standing partner of Charlene's Pantry with a 10-year working relationship. Partnering with St James Settlement Food Bank in Ngau Tau Kok and their network of grassroots partners, they further redistribute the rice to much-needed families across our city.
HOW IT WORKS
Charlene's Pantry purchases rice in bulk, directly from Hong Kong's largest rice importer, and they in repack the rice into smaller 2kg bags for the elderly and Complex Social Welfare recipients. The rice is then distributed weekly to registered recipients across our city.
